A TASTE OF THE MOON


Put in practice in 5 or 6 years old.
This is not a bilingual school but they will understand the story.


Pre-teaching

The children will come into the class after the playground time. And they will see a piece of sky at the wall. This will make them very nervous and interested in what is happening.
They will wonder about what is that, and they will ask questions.

We will ask questions about if they know how the moon tastes. That's how we will introduce our first activity. We will ask questions to them about which food eats each animal. And if they dont know we will say the right answer; for example: Do you know what the mouse eat? The mouse eats cheese.

After that we will give to them a card with an animal on it. Around the class it will be already put on the walls a big card with each food that the animals eat.
They will have to stand up and go to the place where the food is depending of the animal that they have in the card.
For example; the child who have the  monkeys' card  will have to go where the banana's card is.


Actual teaching

When we tell the a story it's important let the children to participate it and to interact with us.
In this story will be good if they interact with us by making the sounds of the animals, or helping us building the animals' tower


Post Teaching

Once we have told them the story we will reinforce the moral of it.
The moral of the story is that if we want to get something and we can't do it by ourselves it would be good if we ask for help. If we worked together we will achieve better our goals.

Now we will do a game that will be useful to remember the animals who appeared in the story and  to remember the food that they eat, 
The teacher will divide the class into groups depending of the animal's card they already have.
And we will give to each group some animals' cards and some food's card. 
What they have to do is to associate the animal with the food that each animal eat.
